The only blot so far on caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s otherwise near-pristine copybook came at Old Trafford on February 12, when a PSG side lacking injured stars Neymar and Edinson Cavani triumphed 2-0 courtesy of second-half goals from Presnel Kimpembe and the irrepressible Kylian Mbappe.
United’s hopes of completing a stunning turnaround in the French capital have been severely hampered by an injury crisis that has left Nemanja Matic, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Jesse Lingard, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones, Matteo Darmian and Antonio Valencia all sidelined.
Paul Pogba will also sit out the second leg through suspension after his late second booking that capped a disappointing night for the hosts last month.
United have won 10 of 12 Premier League games under Solskjaer to date and engineered one comeback over the weekend as they came from behind to beat Southampton 3-2 and strengthen their bid for a top-four finish.
PSG, who saw Cavani return to training on Tuesday, have lost only one of their last 16 home matches in Europe’s elite club competition and are currently 17 points clear at the Ligue 1 summit following Mbappe’s double in a 2-1 win over Caen last time out.
PSG vs United will be televised live on BT Sport 2 and BT Sports 4K UHD, with coverage starting from 7pm GMT.
BT Sport subscribers will be able to stream the match online via the video player and the BT Sport app.
